Stuart is a graduate of Flinders University in South Australia with a Bachelor of Languages Degree, an Honours Degree Bachelor of Arts, (languages and linguistics) and a Master of Language Studies Degree.

Stuart presented two keynotes at Capricon. His thesis investigation of the linguistic context, stereotypes, representations, and controversies in comic book literature, and a presentation about languages created for the tv and film industry.

I presented a series of French language and Culture lessons and workshops about Franco-Belgian comic book literature to students (Reception to year 6) during a holiday school program coordinated by the School of Languages in Adelaide, South Australia.

Regional Pop Culture Conventions

As part of Stuart's Winter Speaking Tour during July and August 2018, Stuart was the keynote speaker at Game Obsession Pop Culture Expo in regional South Australia in the City of Mannum. He presented his thesis investigation of Tintin's creator and the controversies that surrounded his employment as an illustrator during the Second World War.   

 

Stuart was a guest presenter at the Bonjour Perth French Festival as part of his national speaking tour: Tintin Unmasked.  

Stuart is an active keynote speaker on the literary circuit in the field of la bande dessinée franco-belge (Franco/Belgian comic book literature).
