Stuart is a graduate of Flinders University in South Australia with a Bachelor of Languages Degree and a Honours Degree Bachelor of Arts. He is in the final semester of his Master of Language Studies Degree.

Stuart is pictured here with his Honours Degree thesis investigation of la bande dessinée, specifically, the adventures of Tintin and his creator. Stuart has furthered his investigation of the literature in his Masters Degree thesis investigation of the stereotypes, representations, and controversies in the Tintin albums and other comic book literature.

Stu's Bio

Stuart  is a keynote speaker at literary events, French festivals, pop culture festivals, and comic conventions around Australia, and he is currently on his national speaking tour - Tintin Unmasked.

His area of specialisation is classic European comic book literature, and 1950's and 60's television and film. His presentations are enjoyed by audiences of all ages!

Stuart was a Keynote Speaker at the State Library of South Australia during National Science Week

Stuart has undertaken two formal thesis investigations of comic book literature looking at stereotypes, representations, and human rights in comics as well as the controversies surrounding the creator of the Tintin character and his employment as an illustrator during the Second World War.

Stuart has been a keynote speaker at Supanova Comic Con and Gaming

Stuart is in the final semester of his Master of Language Studies Degree, and he is currently working on his book project which is an extension of his thesis investigations of the creator of Tintin and the controversies surrounding his life and career during The Second World War.

Stuart is creating his own bilingual comic book adventure; The Adventures of Paris and Freddy, in the French and English languages which is set for release in 2020! 

Stuart is a graduate of Flinders University with a Bachelor of Languages Degree and an Honours Degree Bachelor of Arts which culminated with the submission of his thesis in French Language and Culture, in the field of French literature, specifically, la bande dessinée franco-belge.
